Remember your you-centricity: shed your friends, don’t be a sheep, strike out alone to realise your potential and shape your future.
Don’t take your mate with you, we won’t hire both of you, and we might hire him and not you. You don’t want him to jeopardise your river-crossing, so tell him to piss off, and if he doesn’t go, push him in.
